Non-Verbal Reasoning rewards a particular habit of mind: methodical observation. Every shape series, every matrix, every analogy can be cracked by asking four questions in order.
Question 1: What's the shape?
Is the shape changing? Is it the same throughout? If it's changing, in what rhythm — alternate, every third, smooth progression?
Question 2: What's the fill?
White, black, striped, shaded? Does the fill cycle? Does it match the shape change?
Question 3: What's the size?
Small to large? Same size throughout? Practice now on NVR series questions to see this in action.
Question 4: What's the orientation?
Rotating clockwise? Reflecting? Tilting? Look for the smallest moving part.
